Please read on because even though I'm only giving it three stars I would stay there again. This place was recommended to us by one of the information bureaus as being the closest to the ferry. As we needed to get the first ferry across to PEI and had to be there ahead of time as we did not have a reservation it was the ideal spot for us. It turned out to be less than a 10-minute drive to the ferry. The place is old but fixtures are updated. The manager was very nice and helpful. The nightly rate was relatively low.The reason for not giving it 5 stars is only that We could hear the TV from the next unit and there was a very strong cleaning chemical or spray smell that we could not get rid of by leaving the door and windows open for a time.
I booked this little place on Expedia.com during the check out process online it offered both credit/debit options. I thought awesome so I choose debit. WRONG. So here i was i thought motels booked i can just take my time travelling I'm good to go. My phone rings and it's an employee from Lionstone I'm sorry your payment method couldn't be processed..oh the site said I could use debit..we've contacted the site its credit card were so sorry. Long story short although the Expedia site lists two payments it is only credit to book. THANK YOU Lionstones employee for calling to let me know instead of just cancelling my reservation. Very polite man as well I will add. They will accept credit,debit and cash upon check in. I was offered an upgrade free of charge as well again hats off to Lionstone. It's a quiet spot for the most part local traffic. They hand out coffee cups full of goodies very neat idea I must say. The room is a little dated but still nice. I can see the new upgrades in the bathroom very nice. Room Included air conditioning, fridge, TV,microwave,2 double beds and a fold out sofa. I would suggest an exhaust fan in the bathroom as well as a hair dryer. It's my first time here and it was good. I would come back.
A motel with comfortable beds, reasonable rates and the rooms are clean but don't feel sterile; very inviting and homey! An excellent spot overall.
Clean, renovated and in a good location.Very close the harbour.Front desk staff very friendly.I would stay here again.
Rooms were very very clean, big and beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet. Would definitely return..
